Description of project: Bulk filling and excavation to facilitate construction of foundation piles and retaining structures, this includes the modification of batters, bulk haulage of materials and placement and compaction of fill to geotechnical specifications.
Cherrie Civil Engineering were also engaged to FRP 4no. crane foundation bases and detail excavation for all inground cores and supply and place asphalt surfacing for internal haulage roads.

Scope:

Cut to fill 25,000m3 for piling pad
Excavation and backfilling of a 150,000m3 to retaining walls
Detail excavation of 38,000m2 of footings, service trenches, set downs and cores
3,100m2 of temporary access roads
2x temporary access ramps totalling 8,000m3
FRP 4no. crane foundations

Value of Contract: $5 million
